Role Overview

As a Backend Developer at Hexa Synergy, you will design and maintain the server-side engines powering our multi-tenant platforms, booking systems, and on-demand applications. You will focus on data integrity, API performance, authentication security, and reliable third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
  • Model efficient relational and document database schemas in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Build real-time communication and event pipelines using Socket.io / WebSockets.
  • Integrate payment gateways (e.g., Stripe), email/SMS notification services, and background job queues.
  • Write maintainable code with strong error handling, input validation, and query optimization.

Requirements

  • Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.
  • Practical experience designing schemas and optimizing queries in PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design principles, JWT/session authentication, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with Git, Linux environments, and API documentation/testing tools.
  • Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and write reliable, predictable server logic.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS data isolation and double-entry financial ledger logic.
  • Familiarity with Docker containerization and cloud deployment workflows.
  • Experience with WebSockets (Socket.io) for live location or chat systems.
  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis) and automated testing frameworks.
